Topaz by Innovision is NFC Forum Number 1 Tag Format

Innovision Research & Technology plc inclusion in global standard

Monday 5th June, 2006

Monday 5 June, the NFC Forum (www.nfc-forum.org), unveiled its new technology architecture, paving the way for a new global standard for short-range wireless interaction between consumer electronics, mobile phones and PCs. As part of this announcement, Innovision Research & Technology's proprietary tag format, will be one of four mandated tag formats set out by the NFC Forum.

Being one of only four mandated tag formats, alongside Philips and Sony, reinforces Innovision R&T's position as a leading player in the Near Field Communications market and serves to improve our commercial offering to potential customers.

NFC technology is supported by the leading mobile device, infrastructure and technology manufacturers and by all major payment providers, and it is compatible with millions of contactless cards already in use worldwide.
