Formerly a Principal member, Innovision now joins fellow Sponsor members Nokia, Mastercard Worldwide, Microsoft, NXP Semiconductors, Visa Inc., Sony, Renesas Technology, Samsung Electronics, NTT DoCoMo, Inside Contactless, Panasonic, NEC and Hewlett-Packard.
David Wollen, Chief Executive Officer, said:
"We are both proud and excited to be joining the Board of a body which is made up of such prestigious members. This step is both a recognition of our hard work and technical contribution to this important emerging technology as well as an important milestone for the development of the company. Many of our customers and partners are members, or considering membership, and this move will allow us to increase our influence and support for the direction the industry takes."
