With multiple design wins, Innovision is recognised as the market leader in fully customisable NFC IP targeted at high-volume, silicon efficient, standalone and integrated solutions.

GEM 2, developed by Innovision, is the latest generic NFC sub-system in the form of a suite of configurable IP blocks that can perform the functionality of an NFC contactless front end (CLF) including peer to peer, reader/writer and tag emulation modes. Operating at 1.8V, GEM 2 can be implemented as part of a larger SoC on CMOS processes down to 40nm.

With minimal die area and low external bill of materials, GEM 2 is designed to minimise the cost of an NFC implementation. By accelerating the integration of NFC into mainstream SoCs, GEM 2 is already supporting the widespread adoption of Near Field Communications in mobile phones, PCs and other consumer electronics devices.
